The Pittsburgh Aviators Stance On COVID-19 Moving Forward

    For Players:
Players will wear cloth masks that cover their mouth and nose upon entering a hockey facility, in common areas, and when entering and leaving locker rooms.  We suggest that players have masks on in the locker rooms for as long as they feel comfortable doing so while changing.

Coaches will be asked to support this by reminding players of the mask rule when needed in public areas (but realize coaches are not, due to SafeSport rules, allowed to hang out in locker rooms to enforce this full-time).

    For Parents and Spectators:
We hope that anyone in attendance will similarly follow the mask wearing rules when entering and moving in common areas of a facility.  Note that the inside layout of some rinks means narrow hallways when entering and exiting (the usual places parents like to meet players after games).

Finally, we recognize as an organization the unique challenges this situation is causing.  Our hope is that having a consistent policy will make it easier for everyone involved. But, if you are ever concerned about such a situation, either in advance or on site, that you seek out a coach or other Aviators representative to discuss.

    Thank You And Stay Safe

    Thank you, Penguins!
